Our Services
Genesis Business Advisors, LLC provides business brokerage services to small and medium size business owners. We are full service business brokers, assisting our clients with sell-side assignments, buy-side assignments, divestiture services, and raising capital for growth. We are Your Investment Bankers. Our team has over 30 years combined business experience.
Representing Sellers We speak with company owners to identify their needs and objectives. We work with our clients to understand and unlock the hidden value in their businesses. We identify, qualify and contact potential strategic and/or financial buyers via a multifaceted marketing campaign. The marketing campaign is designed to highlight the unique and profitable characteristics of the business. We manage the sale process which enables the owner to manage the business. And, we assist the client in negotiating the transaction.
Representing Buyers We work with individual and corporate buyer clients to understand past acquisition activity, define strategic objectives, time tables, acquisition criteria (industry, profitability, geography, etc.) and develop an exit strategy. Using our network of contacts and various databases, we search, identify and qualify potential targets. Only after evaluating the potential targets with the client, do we contact the target companies. We coordinate discussions, exchange information, and assist in analyzing the targets. We help our client write the Letter of Intent and assist our client in structuring and negotiating the transaction
Divestiture Services Larger companies may own divisions that no longer fit the company's strategic direction or the divisions no longer produce a reasonable profit. Company owners may decide to sell the unneeded or unprofitable divisions. We help company management determine the range of value for the division, prepare it for the sale process, find and qualify potential buyers, market the division to either competitors, employees, or outside buyers, and negotiate a transaction.
Raising Capital for Growth Businesses need capital to grow. This can be debt and/or equity capital. Business owners need to understand their true cost of capital. Debt capital must provide the business owner with affordable capital and flexibility. Equity capital, while seemingly inexpensive when forming the company, inevitably becomes the most expensive form of financing. Determining the true cost of capital is critical for expanding business operations. We assist business owners in determining the funding amount for the project, the most advantageous form of funding (either debt or equity) and assist the company in obtaining the growth capital.
